And i must say i don't really know what to think about it.
I really liked the story at first, Edward was more of a pirate than an assassin. And i liked that a lot.
But the further the story progresses, the more it felt like a meager "meh"
The gameplay was awesome, the extra stuff to do was wonderful and the characters were very well done.
But for me once Edward joined the assassins the story began to go south ways.
His echoistisch thinking suddenly completly disapeared and he became just another guy taking orders from others.
Also the present day ending left me with a lot of questions and for me all of it felt like Ubisoft just came to realise they didn't have enough time to finish it properly.
So they gave us a quick cutscene telling us some stuff they wanted us to know, like [SPOILER] Woodse Rogers had survived Edward's attempt on his life and has fled to England so Edward had to go after him. [SPOILER] Edwards wife died. [SPOILER] He has a daughter. Etc etc. Why did they tell all of this in a short cutscene?
Just like with AC3, a nice story, lovable gameplay and somewhat nice characters. But rushed at the end..
