The pain of goodbye by I-Got-Shot The pain of goodbye by I-Got-Shot
This is a hard time for me.. I have to say goodbye to my beloved cats, Rosni & Felix. I am at a place in my life, where I have no choice. It pains me so much, I can barely stand it.
I was there when they were born, and I fell in love with them instantly. I was more than happy to take care of them, for the rest of their lives.
Now, I have to fail on that promise.

They have brought me so much joy, these past 2,5 years.
When my father passed away in 2013, for the longest time, they were the only ones, that could put a smile on my face.
One of my favorite things to do, is to wrap my camera around my neck, and take a walk with them. They put on such a show, giving me these great photos, as if they knew how much I love that. It is going to take a while, before I will enjoy my walks or take a nature photo. It just won't be the same.

I wish them the best life at their new home, and I will always love them.

I know this rant does not have much relevance for people who follow me here, but I just needed a place to write down how I feel.

It does have relevance because art is not only a pretty picture, it is also emotion and causing feelings, it's communication and you are doing just that. And the photos are not even bad at all!
Sad moment. I'd hate to lose my cats :(

:( So sorry, hope you heal soon. The little critters tend to take the biggest parts of our hearts.

Ouch, that hurts... I feel for you. And I can kind of relate... We had to put our cat to sleep yesterday night... The hardest choice I had to make, but a fair one. Good luck. :huggle:

My cat died in front of me. He was very smart and caring and was always there for me his name is Prince and Prince came to my house that was on the beach and I was swimming in the back yard and stopped to eat lunch then on my way back to swimming I saw him eating some chicken somebody dropped.
He got sick or something and he was a young cat. Prince was only with me for 4 months I couldn't believe it I thought he was with me for a year.

After Princes passed away me and my brother found 3 small kittens in the middle of the road going to get run over and we took care of them. And i promised i'd spend any time I had with them because I never spent a lot of time with Prince. Then a few days later in the middle of the night I heard a cat and dog fight under our house where the cats were staying I grabbed a flash light and ran downstairs and outside and when I got there, there was only a dog.(Dogs don't eat cats where I live) The next day the cats didn't return. The next day in the evening two cats returned. An orange kitten and a white kitten with blackish-grayish spots I named the white one Fluffy my younger brother named the orange one Frisky.
Later on we moved the mountains and we camped while our dad built our house and I mean built he was working really hard and Frisky and Fluffy are brothers later they began fighting and no longer getting along.
And soon Frisky had a mate or wife and she had no owner and was a wild cat but she was nice and friendly and she had three kittens all girls and we got a STUPID DOG and it would always chase Fluffy and one day well Fluffy is now like 3 years old and our dog chased Fluffy into the jungle and I ran bear-feet into the jungle with my younger brother except he has shoes and when we made it where we saw the dog looking in the trees we couldn't find Fluffy.
Our dog is STUPID it can't recognize us and is dumb why couldn't we have a smart dog.

We haven't  found Fluffy since.Waaaah! Heart

Pets become family, they become a part of who
we are and who we become. And it is like losing a
family member when they are torn from our side-
the manner doesn't matter because the pain is
still all the same. And it saddens to the core.

I know this pain- I lost my baby 2yrs ago to old age.
My life was forever changed and it felt hollow without
her but I am very happy she allowed me to take her photo.
We need them like they need us. The love goes both ways deeply.

I am so very sorry you have to separate from them. Photos are
gems in our lives more then ever during times like these. It is
a way we can still hold the things we love close, without having them.
And just so you know, speaking your heart is always welcomed even
more so since it tells a story of what you are showing, your world, your art.

Pets share their love openly, and without reservations. Among humans, only young children love as completely and selflessly. :iconhugcouponplz:

Pets are so much more, than just animals that shares our space and eat the food we place down for them.  Pets are friends and oft as not, our dearest ones.  To lose friends through their passing or for any other reason is tragic.

Pets cannot exchange emails and letters, so the loss is often final.  Your words convey your love of these cats and so I think there will be some solace for you, knowing that you've sent them into a loving environment.

The pain will ease as it does for us always, with the passing of time.  These words likely do not help much now, but I hope that things seem brighter for you soon.
