Spinosaurus

Finally I'm back, from Denmark, and I carry a bunch of ideas and drawings with me.
During the last time many people have ask "what about the Spinosaurus?", very good question. What happend to this giant heron? There was a concept, a sketch I publush here.
The answer is typical for my way to work.
Pyrungata overrun me. The motivation for the Spinosaurus decrease and the delusion for my newest project began.
But here he is, a bit different to the original concept, but not less gigantic and with the new thick-sail/muscular hump.
Now you will see them all together on the new Spinosauridae size chart.

It's not inaccurate yet. Spinobasset isn't confirmed, it might be in future but for now, this is just as valid as the short-legged guy.

I think at this moment, the only thing inaccurate is the leg length XD

This was done in 2012. Timing is everything.

I don't see what you mean. Spinosaurus has gone through many changes and right now, the only inaccurate thing about this drawing is the legs.

The discovery that Spinosaurus had short legs wouldn't be known for another 2 years by the time this image was made.

I know. I'm talking about now and how this drawing holds up.

After ı see\read almost all dinosaur species either had\have subspecies and\or subspecies; ı am sure Spinosaurus aegypticus, Spinosaurus moroccanus & Oxalaia are All belong to same Spinosaurus category but different species.

So ı think this art is still very accurate

Given the scarcity of fossils, the time periods involved in paleontology, and the diversity shown in other dinosaur groups, I sometimes think that it is possible for most of the body forms and reconstructions that have been proposed in the last few years may have all existed in some form at some time. They might not have been as the animal in question truly was in its own time but some other species or closely related group/genus (which we might never find a fossil of) might have had a similar body form. This drawing may/may not have been how Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus really looked but it is not impossible I think that a related species/group might not have evolved this muscular hump approach either as a contemporary alternative or as a precursor to another form.

just curious, but are you going to do another spinosaurus drawing based on the new 2015 reconstruction as well?
