A widespread iduanodontid of the late cretaceous.

I have long pondered about the color scheme.
At the end it's a classic iguana like one

This reconstruction is one of the few of this genus.

Bones of this dinosaur are abundant in southern France and Spain, but articulated skeletal remains are very rare. Very few cranial bones (others than lower jaws) are known of this animal and the length of the tail is also uncertain. Currently, the true Rhabdodon is restricted to southern France and Spain although some palaeontologists think again that the Romanian genus Zalmoxes is a junior synonym of Rhabdodon. I don’t agree with that, there are several differences between the two genera notably the size of the neural spines of the dorsal vertebrae. Rhabdodon is a form with high neural spines while Zalmoxes has low neural spines.

The fragmentary and juvenile rhabdodontid material from the lower Campanian of Austria formerly placed in the genus Rhabdodon is currently considered as Zalmoxes sp. (and why not a distinct genus, this specimen is 10 millions years older than the Romanian Zalmoxes).

In southern France, at least two forms of Rhabdodon, a gracile and a robust are known in the late Campanian-early Maastrichtian beds and maybe a third with the Rhabdodon from Villeveyrac. This locality of lower Campanian age has also yielded the ankylosaur Struthiosaurus languedocensis.
