Hatzegopteryx by Hyrotrioskjan Hatzegopteryx by Hyrotrioskjan
The giant azhdarchid from (again) Romania.

The size chart that I'm building now looks very strange with this titan of the air, bigger than the sauropods

I found out recently about giant pterosaurs, as well as the theory that they didn't actually fly, but instead freaking galloped chasing down prey.

Nature, why you so scary?

Anyway, nice work.

It was the most robust pterosaur for its size, and with much stronger jaws. It was adapted as an apex predator.

I remember so from Planet Dinosaur.  I certainly won't look at pterosaurs the same way again.  Quetzalcoatlus must have a similar role since it looked similar..

It was MUCH more deadly than in PD. It could take down anything on any of the islands, even adult Ampelosaurus wouldn't necessarily be safe. same with Quetzalcoatlus.

The size of the Azhdarchids' heads can be somewhat like "creepy" sometimes...

they lived on an island the as the size of giraffes and fed on tiny little sauropods about the size of sheep to them it was a real alien world on that island
