After watching the Christopher Awdry Interview 2026 with Sodor Island Models. Christopher confirmed that there is a Steelworks on Sodor, saying it's somewhere around Crovan's Gate. You can find the interview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVDRpqdPYUI Now that we know where the Steelworks is... the next question is; who runs it? If there's a steelworks, then surely there must be an engine(s) that keeps it running. Maybe it's one of the unnamed 80 engines of the NWR or maybe it's a privately owned engine (like Mavis or the Tank Engine Twins). Maybe the Steelworks is the RWS counterpart to the TVS's Ironworks where 'Arry and Bert work, or maybe the Steelworks and Ironworks are completely separate. Who knows? And that's what makes the Awdryverse so great to begin with. With every mystery that gets solved, we are gifted another. The book series ended 15 years ago, and yet we're still getting new lore. Although we know very little about the Steelworks (for now) we can only

A bit of an overstatement, but here me out... Ever since it was confirmed that Barry the Rescue Engine was in fact intended to be a BR Standard 2 2-6-2T Tank Engine, I can't wrap my head around this. This might be because I've always been use to Barry being depicted as the mogul version of this class. But still... I've been trying to look up which of the Standard 2 Tanks got sent to Woodham Bros. Ltd., but as far as I've seen. None of them has been sent here. However, the several engines of the Mogul version got sent here along with the both tender and tank versions of the Ivatt 2MT (which the latter, Richard Awdry recalls Barry being). It could be possible that Christopher Awdry is right and Barry is a Standard 2 Tank that got rescued by Woodham Bros. (quite possibly an extra number, like Donald and Douglas), or maybe he made a mistake, and Barry is actually a tender engine, or one of the Ivatt 2MTs. Either way, I'm not here to criticize Chris, as I do appreciate all the hard

So it has recently been confirmed in the 2025 edition of Sodor: Reading Between the Lines that the Austerity Engine's identity is finally been revealed. After so many years of this mystery engine being left in the dark we have finally got a name for him. WALTER I'm going to be honest. I am a bit disappointed that the Austerity Engine isn't a female character as I had Amelia as my depiction. I had hoped we'd get a female steam engine in the RWS, we only have Daisy and Mavis (both being diesels) and majority of coaches seen as female. You could argue we have had female engines in the past, like Bluebell, Primrose, Duchess of Hamilton and (if you're really stretching) Pretty Polly. But, their roles are very small and neither are Sudrian Engines. It would've been nice to have another female engine in the books... Oh well, at least we got Emily, Molly, Nia, Rebecca, Rosie and many more in the TV series. I hope to learn more about Walter's backstory and personality. All we know

Hey Matt @DoormattCovers1992. I Have Defend You From That Terrible User On What They Have Did To You. And I Told Him To Mind His Business And Leave You Alone

Hi, So You Have Furaffinity, Right? Because I Need Some Help with Something on the Site Because I Don't Have an Account of Myself.

You still have your slapstick character Jim?

Has he fallen in any mud recently?
