Day 5 - Luna Lovegood

So--day five of the character bonanza! [link] Here is Luna Lovegood, imprisoned in the hidden cellar of Malfoy Manor, investigating a bug to make sure it's not a nargle. This was a very fun one to draw.

Technically it's from Deathly Hallows, but the character bonanza doesn't specify where or when the character has to be...only which character it is! So I have been using past and future scenes...because it's fun.

Luna came out loads better than I expected. She actually looks as I see her, and I got her eyes right. The anatomy is fairly good, too, and it was a tough position to manage. The robes aren't quite right in the back (robes are tough in certain body positions) and her legs and feet might be a bit off, but overall I am really pleased.

(She might either be a bit dark or a bit light...I have a bright LCD monitor and so tried not to make it too dark to see...but still be dark enough to get the right mood. : P)

The bug's kinda cute, too. I admit I modeled him after Hal in WALL-E.
