This is my first entry in the Harry Potter celebration! [link] 
I am pretty bad with keeping up with "one a day" sorts of challenges but I am going to try this one.
Here is the first entry for July 16, 2009: Harry Potter. He's just gotten all of his brand-new stuff for Hogwarts, and stands here with his plain black work robes and his new companion, Hedwig. I was gonna put the black, pointed hat on him, but his wild hair got in the way. (Blame the hair!)
Next up: Ron Weasley.
(It's technically the 16th...I finished it right after reading the news article and waited until after one in my time zone. Hope it counts!)

I love this picture because I have a soft spot for little First Year Harry. You've drawn him exactly as the books describe him--skinny boy with messy hair who is still in awe of the magical world that he is now a part of. Thanks for putting him in the traditional black robes described in the books. Aw, I so love your Hedwig. I see that Harry does too!
