I Love the concept... It reminds me of a toy when I was a kid. The Hot Wheels 'Attack Pack'.
Where abouts did you get your ideas and concepts from?

You know I had JUST found out about those a couple months back!!! Maybe I have an older sibling I don't know about... :P (They'e great though I love them!)

And the sources for inspiration are varied, but I'd say it boils down to being very interested in the history and the "how it works" aspect of things in our world - specifically vehicles, but a little of everything honestly. Material science, biology, etc. Those interests landed me in the industrial design field.

I'm also fascinated by the idea of sentient machinery in all its forms, so there's that too!

Really? I went through an old toy box and found my cars of this series (and I’m missing one🤔)
i used to love playing with them as a kid, and seeing your pictures kinda brought back memories.

That’s awesome, I like hearing how people get their ideas like this. Your pictures of the jets I like the most. They almost look dragon and bird like it’s cool to see, have you ever looked at other forms of transport outside the military theme? Like construction or F1 cars?
Seeing your work on the jets just makes me want to buy a model jet and remake it into one of your pictures.
I’d love to see more of your work it’s awesome to see, keep it up :D

Yup - the toys I DID grow up with though that were the most memorable to me were Bionicles, and LEGO stuff in general. TECHNIK series stuff as well. Lots of toy dinosaurs and animals. And I was always making my own toys out of things! Those Attack Pack creatures are so great though I need to get a couple for my desk. They're literally as old as I am..!

And yes, the aircraft most lend themselves to "monsterification" since they are already a bit animal-like to begin with - fluid shapes, snout, wings/fins, they translate easily into something like a shark, bird, pterosaur, etc. And I do a bunch of non military monsters! Maybe I've taken old ones down...but there are trains, I've draw a drill construction vehicle before, and F1...not quite, but ages ago I doodled a Top Fuel drag racer that looks a lot like that Attack Pack "Rip Rat," haha!!

Kit-bashing them would be fun! It's actually on my list to sculpt a few of these someday...we'll see if I get around to that. Would make for some fun kits.
