Old Engines - Speedpaint by Hydrothrax Old Engines - Speedpaint by Hydrothrax
Monochrome study. Biomech trains again. I need more environments practice :P always love industrial settings.

Even when they are reverted to their vehicle forms, there are residual biomech elements underneath (also how they can be spotted amongst an unaltered vehicle - they really are kinda like mimics.) Cut one open and you’d find a combination of mechanical elements + vestigial jaws and such belonging to the creature form.

I like this; it seems to be a departure from your usual style of having the whole vehicle as the biomech. The concept of the engine alone being a sort of caged beast is an appealing one.

Does look close! The engines in my reference image were Class 73 switchers I believe. From a train graveyard in Belgium: www.urbanghostsmedia.com/wp-co…

Dv12 is build here in Finland under license so it could be same engine class with some modifications to work during winter.
