Looking great. But it confuse me too.
Why a russian tank wear the "censored" german sign on his hull?
Was it just a mistake? Or has it a reason?

Zlooka is a captured tank, hence the markings (example: www.worldwarphotos.info/wp-con… )

The Germans had quite a few captured tanks in WWII actually! I can't remember the source but I read that towards the end of the war, almost a quarter of their tank forces was comprised of foreign armor...!

Same the russian.
Captured Pz III turned it into a tank-destroyer called: SU-85I

For a second I was confused, I thought you meant SU-85 based on the T-34 chassis, but now I see the "I" - cool! Wasn't aware of that one! How did that perform though? I know one weakness of the Panzer III chassis was that it couldn't carry a very large gun (like PAK 40) because it would have been too heavy for its chassis, hence why the Panzer IV because the mainstay tank for the Germans.

But I'm not surprised, if it's a running tank, why not grab it! XD

Well, as I know, Pz III was some kind of "Commando Tank" or "heavy Scout".
(They were fast, agil and had a really thick front armor.)
While Pz IV and Tiger were more fighters. (Slower but very powerfull guns.)

But I am no expert in tanks, even if I play WoT every day.
(World of Tanks ... or better "World of Noobs" over the weekend ...)

What I always found interesting was that the Panzer IV was designed as a support tank to the Panzer III but it ended up being the other way around becasue of the armament issue I mentioned - funny how that works! And yup, in general early WWII tank designs tended to be anti-infantry in terms of intended function. When armor vs armor became more prevalent, that's when they had to up-gun - you can see this on all fronts.

Panzer IV Tiger came later, what I love is the story behind the 88 gun - Rommel was getting overrun during the Afrika campaign and quick thiking was needed, that's where he figured out that pointing the 88mm AA cannons forwards and using them as anti-tank wepons was incredibly effective - hence why the same gun was used on Tiger. :D

WoT haha! I've played since closed Beta but I've been at tier 4 for years, I just don't have the time to game - it's fun, but a little too arcade-like in a way, I love how they use a lot of the experimental "what-if" tank designs, becasue why not! :'D

Yup! "OT-7" since she's a flame tank but that's one of those ultra obscure variants, everything would be identical to the BT-7 though minus the reduced ammo storage to make space for FLAMETHROWER BOOM JUICE (and the missing co-axial machine gun replaced by the flamethrower)
