Welcome~

The history of todays "Show Hunters" has its roots in English foxhunting. Hunters is a type of english riding ridden in the "hunt seat" style. Horses are judged based on qualities once found in traditional foxhunting horses. This includes "manners, fluid movement, and correct jumping style". Horses are most often of Warmblood types, including Thoroughbreds. Pony Hunters are also popular with junior riders. Today horses are shown over-fences and on the flat, with essences of the disciplines history present. In contrast to Jumpers/Show-Jumping, Hunters is non-timed and often courses are based with natural components; brush, logs, natural wood jumps, and so forth.

The Hunt-Club aims to promote and educate people about real life hunters. We offer mini shows and effort shows based on real life class lists & divisions. We also act as a registry for hunter horses, a classifieds directory, and so much more. Interested in joining? Just hit the join button, anyone is welcome!

Hey! My friends and I (all of us active members) wanted to make a suggestion for future show classes! We would love to see pony and leadline classes as well as modeling! :D

If you note the group with some details about what you had in mind, I can surely add them!

Hello! Would like to begin showing a string of pony hunters, however I'm a little confused how to start them. Since they will start in green, must they also be ridden by a professional over 18 or can they be ridden by experienced children since they are ponies and an adult would be too tall? Thanks!

It's strongly encouraged for green horses that they are ridden by a professional (adult). However, with ponies it's definitely lenient. So yes, green ponies can be ridden by experienced children. :)

Do you think the Chamier-Warmblood breed would be good for hunting? i own one and want something to do with her sense the group for the breed is kinda inactive. This seems like it would be fun to do with her?

I don't know much about the breed, but assuming based on the name they are a warmblood type, sure! Any breed that is able to do show jumping or eventing has the same ability to do hunters. Hunters is the same ideals of showjumping, just slightly smaller fences and judged on appearance, not time! c: We'd love to see you join!

I have a girl that I'd love to show here, but how do you guys deal with previous experience? She's entered a few effort and many RNG shows for hunter. Would she start fresh here, or is there a way to determining what class she'd be entering?
