Haha! I imagine the dragon is big enough to not even notice or bother with the little deer, but of course the deer believes the dragon is coming straight for it so it will be pretty relieved when the dragon carries on past.. unless of course it gets stepped on or just drops dead of a heart attack xD

Oh yeah! That was my intention. There is loads of art with dragons freaking out, I like imagining them how they would be the rest of the time when they aren't raging around spewing fire and destroying stuff. I think of them like big cats, calm and collected but obviously able to tear the place up if they felt like it :D

Big cats? So for you dragons are just animals?
i consider them as a race. They are wise and do bad or good things because their own view, not because instincts. When dragon is just an animal it is bad when it wanna eat and good when it has good owner or have enough of food, which don't make them majestic.

Haha no, I like to think of them as they are in the Eragon series. I was referring to the attitude of big cats, you know, powerful and intimidating but calm and collected, demanding respect. That's also why I like to show the less "beastly" side of them, because I imagine them to be much more than the mindless ferocious beasts they are usually portrayed as ;)
