Please Don't Be Weird by HugaDuck Please Don't Be Weird by HugaDuck
I'm going to stop apologizing for posting garbage doodles, because it isn't stopping me from doing them.....

I've actually been drawing a lot lately, but lack of a scanner keeps me from posting, so have this until I get home.

I've also been working on a short story. Probably going to be 5-6 parts long. Real short, but I've been writing it and I plan to keep going NO MATTER WHAT.

Takes place in England in the late 1340s.
Will post more when home and have a scanner. >.>
Also I think I'll wait until the whole thing is written to post any of it, BUT I AM BEING PRODUCTIVE, AH YEIS.

Now about this....
SSPX is an order we Catholics look at oddly and try not to talk about.....
Fr. Timothy is horrified because the Rule the Benedictines follow calls for very strict stability.... staying in one place, rarely leaving the monastery... Franciscans... they wander all over the place. In fact that's literally what the original order did.... wander.
Sr. Cecilia is happy to see other Franciscans even though her order is several times removed from the original.... >.>

I don't think I need to speak for the two Irish kids....

I already have a character who's a satire of the most liberal side of the religious orders... Blood might spill if I bring in someone from the far other side of the spectrum... X3

Franciscans are probably my third favorite order, right behind Benedictines. Of course, there's soooo many different orders of Franciscans now because of all the reforms, but the founding spirituality is awesome.
And thanks. >u< I was having a little too much fun with the expressions.

I love benedictines A LOT, especially since my school is a benedictine catholic school, and the monks here are super nice (and funny).
Jesuits are your favourite order, right?
You're welcome! I love the way you draw expressions.

Eeeyy! We're Benedictine buddies, that's awesome! I could say the same for the monks on campus here! They really live out that charism of hospitality. Quite literally the nicest people I've ever met.

And yes, Jesuits, in their true and original essence, are my favorite order.

Yeeeeee! That's so true, they're so kind (the ones I've met anyway)

Yes I like them too. I don't quite understand why they get so much criticism though...

Well, I could go on a rant about that, but I know nobody want's me to rant sooo, XD
I don't know how it is elsewhere, but modern Jesuits are the butt end of most jokes in the Church here in America because many of the leading orders and schools run by Jesuits are exhibiting extreme deviance from the teachings of the Church and canon law. (they're also NOTORIOUS for not wearing the habit/roman collar). My character, Fr. James Martell is actually a satire off of some of this infamous Jesuit behavior.
These are of course, generalizations, and the whole Society of Jesus is obviously not corrupt, but due to some of the colleges over here and some of our more outspoken Jesuits, they give the rest a really bad reputation.
Of course, that's the state of things in the USA... I can't speak for elsewhere.

That sounds similar to what I've heard too.
It's kind of sad, because they can still be lovely people.
Your OCs are wonderful, seriously I can't express my love for them.

Also, feel absolutely free to post more "messy" comics; they'd be much appreciated. :)

Thanks, I'm excited to share more about them!

I always feel a little bad about flooding my page with doodles like these, but at the end of the day, they probably show more about my characters than anything else I post. X3
Thanks for saying so, and glad to amuse!
