That's my title for this one until I can think of something better, AKA hopefully by the time I color it digitally.

Went to see The Greatest Showman this weekend. Apart from the auto-tune and the horrifically butchered CGI horses that made me die inside, (okay and the fact that though the opera singer's song was beautiful, it wasn't opera), I loved it!
I mean it!
I may criticize every part of it, but I loved it.
(The only thing I hate more than singing children is auto-tuned singing children)

And that song "The Other Side" got my mind back on Proper Villainy as EVERY musical number where the obnoxiously outgoing character bullies the hesitant one into becoming their partner in crime does. (I Can't Do it Alone - Chicago, We Can Do It - The Producers, I Want It All - one of those High School Musical movies that I only half way watched but still know some of the music?)

I've sketched this exchange between them so many times in various ways and still somehow haven't written the damn chapter.
I've been world building though, which is essential to PV since it's set in a completely made up world, and I think I'm going to write it in 3rd person instead of 1st (sorry Greg) which makes me more comfortable with drafting chapters as I'm more experienced in that POV and hate reading 1st person, so why the heck would I write in it??

Colored, better quality version coming as soon as I figure out how the hell to draw water on photoshop..... >.>

Thanks! my wrist burns

You should if you get the chance!! The majority of film critics have denounced it as being a terrible movie... and when you assess it from a critic's stance, it really is... too much auto-tune, bad CGI, half-baked romance sub plot, rather shallow, jumpy overall plot, some of the songs feel horrendously out of place due to the overpowering use of pop music with no nod to correct, historical elements... I could go on..
But from the average audience perspective, it's impressive with its color, fluidity, cinematography, choreography, and just the sheer vocal power of the cast. Even with the auto-tune marring their natural voices a bit, Hugh Jackman, Keala Settle, Zac Efron, Zendeya, etc... they all have fantastic visual and vocal presence. And it's a great feel-good, light hearted film. Worth it despite the insane amount of weaknesses it has as a musical and film in general. XD
