I... reeaaallllllyyyy like this brush by HugaDuck I... reeaaallllllyyyy like this brush by HugaDuck
Wanted to practice drawing directly on photoshop (unless its something SUPER sketchy, like those B&W short comics I do a lot of, I always have a paper sketch I do the line art on top of), but I just don't like working with any of the brushes I had. Went on a search for a good pencil-like brush, and really like this one. Did all of these yesterday and was really happy, given that I've never really done anything worthwhile directly on PS. Also took the opportunity to try and get better at drawing differentiated female faces. First two are mine, Merle and Sibylle, but the other four belong to two of my friends, Marie, Violette, Brigitte, and Rosalind. I've drawn Rosalind a bit before, she and Lennard are together, and I'm pretty sure I've posted sketches including Violette a few times.. she and Niklas are together. We're also working towards shipping Brigitte and JA, and Marie and Val... I don't post Val much...
I don't post much at all anymore.
Maybe someday, if a crazy person really wants to know, I will post more on these kids.
I should compile more reff pages, because honestly, those things keep ME straight... I've got 247 named characters, (however, I count someone's grandma if I ever mentioned them by name, even if they're totally unimportant, so a lot of those are background figures. I need to go through and tally up all the characters who are actually active in their respective story lines)
Bottom left corner, of course, is Vitus and JA. I should probably actually post more information on who they are, because JA may have usurped Fr. McCarthy as my favorite child. I've drawn him too much and written sooooo many short stories... >.>
Bottom right is Niklas with his hair pulled back, which is apparently going to be a big deal in Violette's mind in the next rp when pulled-back-hair-Niklas arises.

Merle, Sibylle, Vitus, JA, Niklas - :iconhugaduck:
Marie, Violette - :iconcurlyhaireddork:
Brigitte, Rosalind - :iconahsoka626:

SAME ON THE COUNTLESS NUMBER OF CHARACTERS THOUGH HAHAHA I HAVE SO MANY THEY COULD POPULATE A COUNTRY

But man good job on these, all these sketches are really clean especially since you didn't have a pencil sketch to trace over!! And your characters all have such unique designs, facial diversity is a really hard thing to master :>

Thanks!! I surprised myself with how they came out! I've been working really hard with drawing female faces with differing features, so I was so happy with myself when I finished this!

Keeping up with characters is almost impossible X'D I've also got 100+ of them including character's family members that don't even show up in any of my WIP series.

Your characters are so interesting though, I love them.

I had to create a running list that I keep tally of them all and what story line they're in and with background characters, how they're related, just so I don't forget what I named them. XDD

Danke, developing characters is my all time favorite thing to do.
((Which unfortunately means I have a hard time working on ONE story line. XD ))

Oh hey same :D

Trust me I get you, especially if I'm introduced to a new series or anime and suddenly I get a gazillion ideas for a character but it just doesn't fit my other characters...
