Let's get you all caught up!

'The Littlest Knight', my first childrens picture book, has been doing great! we're coming up on half our initial printing sold. That's 250 copies! Regardless if we sell out of the full 500 I'm really proud at how my first publication has come along.

Author Tanya Chang's blog

We had a public signing for the book at a local store, Tag Along Toys, which turned out to be a great success. 31 books sold in just a couple hours and some very happy children who were given colouring pages I redesigned from moments in the book, stickers that the author had printed up and buttons minted off my brand new button maker!! YEAH!

(I have no idea if facebook photo links will work here in the journal if not check out my HueTwoArt facebook page!)

In other publication news, I've got a great comic book deal under way with a writer that I'll be beginning a treatment for in the next few months, we're going to finalize 6-10 pages and present it to Image and Top Cow for consideration. EXCITING!

I attended my first ever craft fairs these past few weeks, Ravenswing (…) and Savoir Faire ( It was great to get out of the home studio and spend some time meeting the hundreds of people who stopped and shopped at the table I shared with my lovely fiance and font of inspiration, Shawna.

I have another Wonder Geeks show I'm attending in Ottawa, Ontario! Those of you in town or visiting please make a stop by the local bar, Zaphod Beeblebrox, on June 17th between 8pm and 11pm! We're going retro for this show so be ready for stylings of the '80s and '90s. I've been developing some new art using some era specific styles like that of Andy Warhol and Patrick Nagel crossed with popular characters from video games/comics/anime of the times.

If you're interested in seeing some of the work in progress take a trip over to my blog at
I tend to post unfinished or work in progress pictures to my blog and keep finished work for Deviant Art so if the process as well as the final product interest you I humbly suggest you follow said blog!

I'll be posting buyable prints of my new work from the Wonder Geeks Retro-Activate! show here on DA after their unveiling on the 17th. Keep an eye out for them!

Thanks for all the love folks!

I just received the first copies of my children's illustrated book titled 'The Littlest Knight' The author (Tanya Chang) and I have been working very hard and with great big smiles on our faces as we took the plunge into creating this lovely and adorable tale about a boy learning that not everything is as it seems in life.

Tonight I go through a few dozen of the 500 copies to sign and prepare them to be shipped out to eager fans who have even gone so far as to place pre-orders with us on the book! For those of you who are interested in the book we have set up an Etsy store that has shipping costs included in the sales information for North America and International shipping.

The Etsy store can be found here:…

I encourage you to buy quick as they won't last long!

It's a great gift for a family member or friend and knowing that this will be read to little souls around the world fills me with joy.

Both Author and Artist have much to be thankful for and we hope that you enjoy the labors of our love.

Yours Truly,

Things have been pretty interesting the last few months!

I've finished several commissions for artwork and begun two fairly large projects!

One is a children's book called 'The Littlest Knight' which should be completed in about a month and a half.
The other is creating conceptual art for a kickstarter campaign for a game called CoreTechs.

Both are very different in their styles but have helped me really vary my portfolio and skill set. It's exciting!

I'm looking forward from hearing back from another few prospective clients and in the meantime have really been hitting the 'networking' scene. I've been trying to get all my sites updated and add a few more places to post work.

For example, just this morning I opened a facebook page dedicated to my art brand.

I also have to get on posting more of my work to Tumblr ( ), I've never really used it before and it often slips under my radar in the morning when I'm thinking of where to do all my updates.

Also this morning I'm opening up an account for Livestream, I've heard from other artistic colleagues online that it's a good way to show and share your work with online communities. I'm going to attempt to run a session from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm EST today. So if you see this and want to poke your head in to see what's going on feel free to join me!

I hope I can get it working right!

Thanks for your time and love!
