Hello lovely followers. So the thing is, I love this show. Like, really love…Wander over Yonder is /not/ revolutionary. It is not a masterpiece. It is not a show that make a new genre or twist what a cartoon can be. It doesn’t matter, because you can feel that it is a child of love - Craig McCracken is someone who gave us Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, two great shows, and he show us ones again how amazingly imaginative he can be.

I love this show for two things. First, is the production value. The animations are absolutely frickkin’ outstanding. Everything is so gosh darn smooth, so fluid and full of grace. Just look at the smoke, explosions, water! It moves so real I can feel it on my skin, and that’s almost miracoulous achievement for an animation set in such a clean, flat style. 

Second is the feel. It’s just… It’s… Glorious. It’s like the creator sat down, took his pencils out and said “I want to draw countless worlds and make countless aliens and just go to town with this. I want to create HUNDREDS of tiny little settings. I want it! And so we have it, like the intro promises… Smoky lands filled with massive mushrooms. Utopian planet with greek-like structures. Deserted wastelands, lush forest realms, snow-covered globes, and of course a multitude of colorful inhabitants. Exploring it is a great experiance. And of course, the characters. Lovely to see a strong female lead, a charming companion and of course… Lord Hater. The most Rockstar’ish villain ever. Like, really. He is best.

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to show how much I like this show. And so, I decided… NO. I needed to make a fanart for it. This is not traced. Sure, I /did/ used a still from the show but it was a reference. Bah, to prove it, I made a ‘work in progress’ gif to show you in a quick loop the entire progress of work on this little piece But heh, that’s HARDLY all. This is merely a beginning of the project I want to do for this piece - Now expect me to cut it into pieces, print it and assemble it together with some perception of depth… Paint some background…
