drifting by HRFleur is a beautiful and emotional piece with gorgeous colors, wonderful lighting, and extraordinary detail.  The tilted composition adds a feeling movement as if the figures are drifting down a river into the sunset.

As usual, your colors and painting skills are absolutely beautiful. However, there are some minor problems with this picture. I think most of them come from an evident struggle with the bird's eye angle. Some things just seem a bit off....the angle of the flowers in the water seem to tilt toward the bottom left corner of the picture when the angle of the box is straight up and down. It would have made for a more interesting picture if the angle was changed so that you weren't looking straight down at it and could get a clearer idea of how deep it is and where the outside meets the water. Also, the feet of the figure on the left are pointing toward the bottom of the box...if the figure was asleep or dead (it's not clear if this is a floating coffin) they would not exert this effort and would likely stand up due to tendon tension, resulting in a foreshortened view of the top of the toe.
The face on the figure on the right has a bit of trouble as well. The eye is too would be much narrower consdering the profile view. Also, the dimple under his nose is too wide….it extends all the way to the outside of the nostril. If the face was turned to the front and was symmetrical it would be almost as wide as his nose.
You may want to also reexamine the way light is flowing across these figures as a whole. There is a relatively strong, low angled light coming over the left side of the box. The length and sharpness of this shadow and the one cast on the right figure’s face do not match some of the others or are missing where they would otherwise appear. For instance, the hands flatten out from not quite enough modeling, the hair sticks do not cast a shadow on the flowers, and the birds do not cast a shadow on the box below. You may also consider strengthening the highlights on the two lower birds to increase the depth of the picture plane, as the lack of contrast between them and the robes below make them appear flat, especially the lowest purplish one that you can see the ribbon passing through his tail. Once again, most of these are minor issues that could probably be fixed in a few seconds….overall this is a well designed piece.

If you're laying down and let your feet relax, gravity pulls them downwards, pointing the toe as the deviant has it painted. I know from experience when my mom was comatose for several months that the nurses had to put shoes on her feet in bed or she'd end up getting "dropfoot" due to the fact she was in that position for a prolonged period.

~If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song,
Uh oh, Uh oh

Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors
Oh, and, life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even grey, but sheburies her baby

The sharp knife of a short life
Oh well, I've had just enough time

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

The sharp knife of a short life
Oh well, I've had just enough time

And I'll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom
As green as the ring on my little cold finger
I've never known the loving of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand

There's a boy here in town, says he'll love me forever
Who would have thought forever could be severed by
The sharp knife of a short life
Oh well, I've had just enough time

So put on your best, boys and I'll wear my pearls
What I never did is done
A penny for my thoughts, oh no, I'll sell 'em for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe then you'll hear the words I've been singing
Funny, when you're dead how people start listen'n

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn'
Send me away with the words of a love song

The ballad of a dove
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket
Save them for a time when you're really gonna need them,
The sharp knife of a short life oh
Well, I've had just enough time
So put on your best boys
And I'll wear my pearls~
