After sampling my new Solar Color Dust pigments with that last metallic dragon, it was time to start exploring the individual colors. This is the Brown/Red/Violet chameleon pigment. I feel a bit ambivalent about this color. The powder looks like a rather uninspiring pink, but applying it to a black surface gives a nice spread of colors, very similar to Swarovski's volcano color. The violet is quite blue, and the brown is almost orange. It's all right, but it doesn't really fit in with the other chameleon pigments that I purchased. I enjoyed mixing all the other colors together, but this one is the odd one out. Also, I don't think the gold clay was a terribly good match. Maybe dark purple or even magenta would have worked better?

Show me that shimmer
What I love is the nifty iridescent effects you're getting with the new powder you're using. the randomness is actually a nice thing, in my opinion. ^_^
This shpuld be added to that Series of dragons called
Purple dragons that are NOT Spyro but have been mistaken as such
But yes, that collection includes almost every purple dragon I have ever made. It doesn't have to remotely look like Spyro - someone will still mention it.
My dragons are hand-sculpted out of polymer clay, and I post photos of them. I do my photo editing on a Surface Pro 3, as well as a little digital doodling on the side, but I don't really post my drawings online.
