Egyptian Jackal-Dragon

I'm back with another hybrid creature! This is the rare Egyptian jackal-dragon, inspired by my love for Egyptian art and my favorite of the Egyptian gods, Anubis. He has long, pointed ears and feathered wings that have been dusted with gold mica powder, and I gave him a little golden collar inset with a ruby crystal. He sits at attention, ready to to jump up and play!

I really liked making this, I might try an expanded set of Egyptian-inspired dragons at some point.

This little guy has found a home, but you can still visit his listing to see additional photos.

What do you use to make these?
HowManyDragons's avatar
I use colored, oven-bake polymer clay. More info in my Frequently Asked Questions journal. :]

Okay, I don't have that... How much is it?

i use something called PaperMagiClay for models and stuff, but I'm not good at sculpting
HowManyDragons's avatar
It's usually something like $2-3 for a 2 oz block. I buy mine at my local craft store, but you can also order it online. My favorite brand is Premo, but Fimo and Sculpey III are two other popular choices.

HowManyDragons's avatar
Thank you! I've really only gotten as far as thinking that I'd like to make some more Egyptian god inspired dragons at some point. I haven't thought any further on the specifics... yet. ^^
