The twin and companion to yesterday's White Glitter Aurora Dragon. I loved the white version so much, but it was hard to see the colors on her scales, so I made a black version because the chameleon pigments show up best on a dark background. I am so in love with the ethereal rainbow colors! I'd been disappointed with my previous attempts at 'aurora borealis' dragons because the pigment powders that I used looked too metallic against a black backdrop. Who knew that the secret to softening up the colors was to use a thin layer of translucent clay between the two? ^^
Crafted from polymer clay, glass bugle beads, Swarovski crystal elements, chameleon powders. About 2 inches tall and 3 inches long.
This dragon has found a home, but you can still visit her Etsy listing to view additional photos.
Tonight on stream, it's Experimental Thursday! I'll be playing with some new opal flakes, so if you want to watch shiny, shiny dragons come to life, come stop by my Twitch stream between 7-10pm Pacific. I'd love to see you there!
No such thing as too much color
I do hope you good sir have a wonderful week (Great job done on the piece BTW) and God bless you!
