Birthstone Collection: August

This dragon represents August in my birthstone collection. August's birthstone is peridot, so this dragon holds a light green rhinestone gem. Her body is a light, glittery green with intriguing swirls throughout, and she also sports pearly white accents. The fresh green color of peridot is also displayed in the matching gems on her forehead and tail.

I like the pose on this one - I think the slightly upraised/offering arms are cuter than holding the gem close to the chest. She's meant to be a giving sort, willing to share her treasure with you. Which, you know, is very unusual for a dragon. c:
