Amethyst Dragon

Commission for who has already commissioned me once before! This time, she requested an amethyst-themed dragon, and it took me a bit longer than I thought it would because I spent quite a while mulling over how to go about it. I really wanted to get a purple-to-white transition in there somewhere and I wanted to do the body in translucent purple in order to more closely mimic amethyst. As is usually the case for me, after worrying about things for way too long, I sat down to work and the result was pretty much what I expected. Though the 'crystal' wings were a bit of a surprise.

I like the result! What do you think - would you be interested in seeing a line of 'gemstone' dragons made this way?
