A little gift for
, based on a dream I had.
I was in a dark, desolate building with these friendly little shadowy gremlin-like creatures wearing cloaks that covered most of their bodies. It felt like this building lay parallel to a school where kids studied magic, like I was in a parallel dimension, or some sort of dark reflection of that place. The students in that school are all practicing summoning spells, to try and speak with us. In a dusty, decaying old classroom, we would see objects glowing within orbs of light, suspended above the moldering remnants of the students' desks. They were offering us various objects to interact with, like toys or other small things, usually connected with a word or phrase indicating what they wished for us to do with them. The gremlins had a field day granting the students' requests, doing silly things like manipulating toys or popping balloons. Then I saw my request. A kid was offering me a ball of blue modeling clay, without any specific request... They just wanted to see what I'd do with it. So I mold the clay into the shape of a bat, which flaps its wings slowly in midair. I get the sense the child is delighted, which makes me happy. Then I receive another request. This time however, I'm struggling to discern what the item and request are, because this particular student isn't very good at summoning yet. I try to focus, but it's all just too hazy, and I can't make any of it out. So instead, I focus on sending her a message: "hello". She manages to receive it, and all of a sudden, clear as day, I can see her in her own dimension, waving back at me cheerfully.
So yeah, I just had to draw her... A dark elf named Eavvne.
