Biographie
Jim Shart est né à Paris en 1991 dans une famille d’artistes (grand père peintre, grand-mère cantatrice, père scénariste et metteur en scène).
Dès l’enfance, il se passionne pour la littérature (Hugo, Rabelais, Steinbeck, Camus, Jarry, Simenon etc...) qui l’orientera à s’intéresser à l’écriture.
Il suit des études secondaires au Lycée Henri IV puis au Lycée Autogéré de Paris (section cinéma).

A 14 ans, il est stagiaire à la mise en scène sur le tournage du film « Incontrôlable » et suit toutes les étapes de la post-production (montage, mixage, musique etc...) du film jusqu'à sa sortie.

A 15 ans, il obtient un stage de graphisme dans la société Def2shoot, spécialisée dans les images de synthèse pour le cinéma et la publicité.

A 16 ans, il réalise avec des lycéens un premier court-métrage « Halloween Mortel » avec peu de moyens et qui sera mis en ligne sur Dailymotion. Le film obtient un succès d’estime avec 12 440 visites en 1 an et des commentaires encourageants. Il enchaine avec d’autres courts-métrages en collaboration avec d’autres étudiants en cinéma. Parallèlement, il continue ses études de vidéo et obtient 19/20 pour son Travail Personnel Encadré portant sur l’analyse du film Psychose.

A 18 ans, il écrit plusieurs scénarii qui sont exploités en projets de bandes dessinées, en collaboration avec des jeunes étudiants de l’école des Gobelins à Paris.

A 19 ans, il réalise son premier court-métrage professionnel avec le concours de personnalités du cinéma: Jean-Claude Dreyfus(acteur), Jacques Ciron (acteur), Frédérique Fleish(Dresseuse d’animaux de cinéma), Jean-Eric Grandgerard(directeur de production),Anne Seibel(décoratrice de Woody Allen, Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg), Robert Rongier (Monteur Oscarisé).

La meme année il obtient un travail d’assistant à la mise en scène sur le film “Midnight in Paris” de Woody Allen et “L'Invention d'Hugo Cabret” De Martin Scorcese.

Il participe à la réalisation de films publicitaires pour différente productions: Victoria Vanderbilt, Association de lutte contre le Cancer de Madame Ullens, Party Pocker etc…

A ses 23 ans, il se lance dans le dessin, l'une de ses passions d'enfance et se spécialise dans le dessin de Comicbook.

Il prépare actuellement un projet de bande-dessinée intitulé : " THE STREET LEAGUE ".

Jim Shart was born in Paris in 1991 in artists' family (grandfather painter, grandmother opera singer, father scriptwriter and director).
From the childhood, he is passionate about the literature (Victor Hugo, François Rabelais, John Steinbeck, Albert Camus, Alfred Jarry, Georges Simenon etc.) which will direct him to be interested in the writing.
He follows secondary education at the High school Henri IV then at the Self-managed High school of Paris (Film Departement ).

At the age of 14, he is a trainee in the direction on the shooting of the "Uncontrollable" movie and follows all the stages of the post-production (editing, mixing, music etc.) by the movie until his release.

At the age of 15, he obtains an internship(training course) of graphics(handwriting) in the company Def2shoot, specialized in computer generated images for the cinema and the publicity.

At the age of 16, he realizes with high school students a first short film " Halloween Mortal " with few ways and which will be displayed online(be displayed in line) on Dailymotion. The movie obtains a praise from the critics with 12 440 visits in 1 year and encouraging comments. He(it) moves on with other short films in association with other students in cinema. At the same time(in parallel), he(it) continues his(its) studies of video and obtains 19/20 for his Framed Personal Work concerning the analysis of the movie Psychosis.

At the age of 18, he writes several scenarios which are exploited in projects of comic strips, in association with young students of the school of Tapestries in Paris.

At the age of 19, he realizes his first professional short film with the cooperation of personalities of the cinema: Jean-Claude Dreyfus (actor), Jacques Ciron (actor), Frédérique Fleish (Trainer of animals of cinema), Jean-Eric Grandgerard ( production manager), Anne Seibel (decorator of Woody Allen, Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg), Robert Rongier ( Oscar-winning Fitter).

The same year he obtains a work of assistant in the direction(fabrication) on the movie " Midnight in Paris " of Woody Allen and " Hugo Cabret's invention " Of Martin Scorcese.

He articipates in the realization of promotional films for different productions: Victoria Vanderbilt, Association of fight against madam Ullens's Cancer, Party Poker etc. …

At the age of 23, he dashes into the drawing, one of its passions of childhood and specializes in the drawing of Comic book.

Now, he's preparing a Comic Book project called : "THE STREET LEAGUE".
