There's a free brush set that I use a lot for shading! They're here kecky.deviantart.com/art/kecky…
Also, when you say blending types, are you talking about the blending modes in the layers panel? If so, I usually use multiply and linear burn. c:
Something cool: you can change the layout to one that they have called "painting" and it gives you a brush panel, and it lets you change many different parts of the brush. Here, you can change spacing, add texture, and more. My favorite feature is the "Transfer" feature. This makes it so that the opacity is lower when you press lighter, and it gets higher when you press harder. It's great for shading!

Okay! No problem! There are also some other brushes that I've heard are really good, if you're willing to pay for brushes. www.kylebrush.com/

Oh okay xD Layers and blending modes are my life lol

I know right? I like all the different settings though tbh c:

Well I mean, the designed how the brushes themselves look, and of course you can fiddle with the other settings. But you'd be paying for the brush shape itself since someone made it. But yeah, they do occasionally have some free ones!

You brave soul. I just can't color on the same layer that the local color is on. I have to do it on another layer in case I mess up. xD
