Houseki No Kuni Manga:
Thoughts on: 'Land of the Lustrous'A few weeks ago, in light of my journals on 'Steven Universe', a friend of mine recommended I take a look at the anime 'Land of the Lustrous' which has a very similar premise of a species of living humanoid gems that fight off alien invaders.
As I'm certain I've said before, I generally don't like anime unless its 'Transformers Armada' or anything 'Dragonball', so anime in general is not something I'm into or would normally look at, and naturally I had my reservations as I did with 'A Silent Voice'.
The basic premise is that these humanoid gems live under the constant threat of these moon people who want to hunt them down and break them into jewelry, and so the gems must constantly fight them back. The main character is Phos [full name, I can't spell] is a weak gemperson but is eager and ambitious to join the fight despite the fact that she shatters easily, and as the series progresses her goals shift from wanting to join the fight to wanting to understand the wider picture
