Few words can describe the beauty of a glacier cave; it is likely one of nature's finest creations. Blue walls of frozen water, sculpted into the most amazing shapes by its own liquid form combined with wind. Capturing the experience is certainly not easy. The scale is usually lost in a photo and it is very difficult to capture the texture and colour of the ice. After exploring all angles of this chasm in one of Iceland's glaciers, I finally found a viewpoint that did it some justice. It clearly lacked scale, so I set my timer to 20 seconds and ran as far down the tunnel as I could. Seeing such a place is a great privilege and many people never will. I hope that this image can momentarily transport viewers not so lucky to the location.
