There are few things as exciting as watching a big thunderstorm build over the Namibian landscape. Due to the geography of the area there is always a gap on the horizon for the sunset light to get in below the clouds, so you're always guaranteed an amazing display of light.
After following this storm as it moved across the plains of the Namib Rand and seeing a herd of about 200 Oryx run from the lightning and rain, I ended up on a high dune that had a bit of a view towards Kameelhof mountain. I got properly soaked before the sun reached it's gap and cast a fleeting beam of light across the landscape. The grass had a magical green tinge that it has when it's only a few days old. The red in the mountain and the blue in the sky gave a perfect complimentary spectrum of colours to this simple landscape.

Beautiful as ever , Hope you are well , and yes I know you are busy , FYI I revamped my account in December 2015 , after 10 years at DA and closed the old Alembic-Lynx and opened the current Alembiclynx 2 days later , your work always impressed me it was great to watch you grow from all of those Beach shots in Cape Town to all of the interior and better and better with each posting
