Danny and Me

My photo with Danny Trejo, in his case I had to spring for the photo op with the autograph. Danny is quite the character IRL. One thing a lot of people don't know is he has a Mexican Restaurant, and he wants to open one in Denver. 
What I really like about Danny is how much he has in common with my original character, Sierra. Perhaps a lot of her traits were inspired by his story, even if I wasn't consciously aware of it. 
Danny spent his early life with gang activity, dealing drugs and weapons and being in an out of juvenile detention and prison. In prison he was even facing life (and I think possibly death row?) after allegedly killing someone in a prison riot. But he turned his life around, in prison he got into boxing and became the prison boxing champ. Out of prison he got into acting, and inspirational speaker. He became a genuine good dude and tries to brighten things up around him everywhere he goes. 
I hope to see a Trejo's Tacos in Denver one day in the future.
