Thats a very interesting bird...I like the shape and contours of its head:)

I agree that she is interesting. Jeckyl is a really gorgeous bird and she knows it. She has an attitude but adores her handler. It was him talking to her and encouraging her that got her to pose for me, lol. Before that, everytime I tried to take a picture she'd snub me :giggle:
UmbraAtramentum's avatar
Oh my gosh you talked to it...that would have been so cool:D You must have been pretty close up...Id love to do something like that:)
HOTNStock's avatar
Yes, I was only a few feet from her. Her handler loves talking about her so he was telling me all about her. She didn't like that he wasn't paying full attention to her so she started cawing and flapping at me, lol. :D I got a few pictures of her doing that but they didn't come out as crisp as I'd hoped.

yeah well motion does that to a picture and it is very hard to capture just the right moments. Still I see no reason to complain, you pictures are amazing. Its so cool how animals have there own personalities:D

The personalities of each animal are probably my favorite part of visiting so many zoos... you get to see what is just a basic species trait, and what's really unique. I've noticed if you pay enough attention, ever animal has a personality quirk :) You just have to look for it!

yes I get that with my beloved dog Buttons:aww: She has some...unusual traits of an animal, that can at times seem creepily human.:D
