Hotmetal53, (Charles) Allen Brown, used his right under the Oregon Death with Dignity Act to end his battle with cancer today. He was proud and grateful to live in a state that allowed him this option. I'm one year over schedule and I'm having a party to celebrate this!  The party is Oct 29.  That is one year beyond the last date when the doctor said I could possibly live.  Yes, 2.5 years ago when I was diagnosed with lung cancer the doctor gave me a year to a year and a half to live.  But I'm not dead yet! If you would like to join me for my party, let me know and I will send you the address.  I can provide some beds for out of town guests.  So you need not make it a day trip. Oh, by the way, it's a costume party.  You don't have to wear one.  But it's more fun if you do. Now what should I wear?  Maybe I should be the grim reaper.  :rof
