Submissions must only feature male humanoid figures (please make sure the gender is not ambiguous); please, no females or chibis! Also, please keep the following requirements in mind when submitting your work:
For drawn work (digital or traditional)
Originality: Be sure that your submissions are original, or significantly different than the rest of your deviations. Vary your character's poses and expressions. Give them different backgrounds or props--different scenarios. Submitting a series with an overarching theme is fine, just make sure you're varying each picture in the series so that they're not identical.
Cleanliness: When submitting deviations like sketches, make sure that they are clean and touched up. If you're scanning a traditional image, clear off any blotches or stray marks, and play with the contrast to take out that dark gradient that appears on many photographed pictures. On digital submissions, avoid pictures with rough, messy lines.
Coloring: Try to avoid submitting deviations that are uncolored. Black and white deviations are fine, but for all submissions, you should try to add shading or textures to bring life to the picture. If your submission has only a flat layer of colors, try to have another aspect of it pop out to make up for the simple coloring.
For photographs (including photomanips)
Originality: Be sure that your submissions are original, or significantly different than the rest of your deviations. Vary your model's poses and expressions. Give them different backgrounds or props--different scenarios. Submitting a series with an overarching theme is fine, just make sure you're varying each picture in the series so that they're not identical. If submitting photographs from a photoshoot, try to limit your submissions to the best photos from the shoot. Avoid photos that contain the same model wearing the same outfits in the same scenes.
Complexity: Ensure that your photos hold some manner of complexity. Avoid submitting selfies, or simple photos of friends. Your photos should mean something more than an everyday photo taken on your smartphone. Similarly, please avoid submitting photos that were taken on low-quality cameras, like older phones or webcams. Photos should not look grainy or blurred.
Cleanliness: For photos edited with filters and other manipulations, please ensure that they are fully integrated with the photo. Avoid just throwing on a simple filter to try to add complexity to a photo. For photomanipulations, added images should flow with the rest of the image. Things should not look like they were copy+pasted onto photos.
