Flag of Jiangxi by hosmich Flag of Jiangxi by hosmich
Jiangxi is province of China, where Gan language is spoken. The word "Jiangxi" means "western river" and refers to Gan River, tributary of Yangtze River. The word "Gan" means "home". This flag combines these meanings: house for the Gan people (they are native to the region, unlike Hakka people living there), blue stripe for Gan River flowing from south to north, and setting sun as symbol of the West. The house symbolizes capital of Jiangxi, Nanchang, which lies on the eastern bank of the Gan River. It is a Chinese house I found on the web, its shape and color can be adjusted. Flag is inspired by this flag, colors of sky and soil are intentionally different.
