It takes a century to learn how to properly hold a sword
-Proverb of the Elven Blademasters
Morning Song ancient blade of House Xiloscient has been in the great house’s keeping since the War of the Seldarine. The blade was forged to imprison Final Sunset, general of Lolth and demigod of curses and darkness. It became a living weapon, turning the powers of the Dark in service to the Light.
Since the end of the war the sword has been kept imprisoned the depths of the family vault, bound and warded deep in the earth by the family’s greatest mystics and theurges; for the instrument of our salvation is also the key to Lolth’s return.
The Blade still yearns to serve, advising and empowering Scions of the House as it sees fit. Though there hasn't been a Pact Holder in several elven generations
All that changed when a young half-elf girl who saw no way to match her sisters, who would pass from this world before the Blademaster said she even learned to properly hold a sword; heard The Whispers.
She followed The Whispers of the Sword past the locks, past the wards, past the guardians. All the way to the Center of Hose Xiloscient’s Dread Vault, to the place where House Elders consult their Most Ancient Vizier.
Girl and Greatsword forged a pact, and Morning Song’s power began to flow through Invicta; skill at arms and magic to rival the sisters she thought she would never match were granted that night, along with The Scabbard that no Sword Fits as a symbol of the bond, and a promise that the Sword would appear when her power bloomed.
