This is a group for ONLY HORSE ART COMPETITIONS. Please respect that.
What I define as a horse show:
There is a discipline or set of specific disciplines such as show jumping, dressage and halter. There is an open and a close date, except for ongoing shows. People will draw their horses performing he discipline. At the close date the entries will be judged and placed. The competitors will receive prizes of some sort for their efforts.
-Competition Journals ONLY for what would be considered a show.
-Competition Advertisement art ONLY for what would be considered a show.
-We accept some group challenges. But they have to be looked over first. They can be a journal or an advertisement art piece.
We Do Not Accept:
-Import journals for horse breeds
-Requests for art of any kind
-Shows that do not have an equine part to them. Yes you can have a show where there are dogs and cats and whatever else as long as there is a category for equine animals. If there are no horses involved please don't submit it here.
Or really anything that is not a horse show.
Guidelines for Submission:
- Entries must have Deadline or Close Date of the show at the top of the journal/ad. I will no longer accept journals with no close date.
-It's a big help if you put "OPEN" in your journal title and then change it to "CLOSED" or "JUDGED" once the show is finished.
- If the show has not been updated in a year and still says it is open I will move it to the "Finished Shows" folder.
- If a show has reached its close deadline and does not show an extension for the close date I will move it to "Finished Shows" folder.
-If you know your show is finished please remove it from the group so it is not taking up space.
Please respect and follow these rules. I have been having a bit of a hard time recently with people submitting things that are definitely not horse shows. Also I ask that finished shows be removed by the owner. That seems to not be happening so it is up to me to clear away the finished shows into the finished show folder. It makes it a lot easier for me when the deadline and open/close status is shown at the top of the journal.
