Giant mammal lived alongside dinosaurs
Palaeontologists have discovered the fossil remains of a huge Triassic-era relative of modern mammals. This bulky, elephant-sized herbivore, which was unearthed in southern Poland, lived 237 million years ago at a time when the largest plant-eaters on Earth were all thought to be dinosaurs. A distant cousin of mammals, this enormous creature which has been named Lisowicia bojani was a dicynodont, demonstrates that herbivorous dinosaurs were not alone in achieving huge sizes. "After this discovery, it became clear to us that we were dealing with a giant species," palaeontologist Grzegorz Niedzwiedzki from Uppsala University told Gizmodo. "We

Car-sized turtle
Scientists have unearthed new fossils of one of the largest turtles that ever lived: a car-sized reptile which prowled the lakes and rivers of what is now northern South America from about 13m years ago to 7m years ago. The fossils of the turtle – Stupendemys geographicus – were found in Colombia’s Tatacoa Desert and Venezuela’s Urumaco region, and for the first time provide a comprehensive understanding of the creature which grew up to 13ft (4 meters) long and 1.25 tons in weight. Stupendemys is the second-largest known turtle, behind seagoing Archelon, which lived roughly 70m years ago at the end of the age of dino

Kinky's Vet Saga
So Kinky wet to the vet yesterday as she was over due for a check up and had some fur-loss and was showing signs of bladder irritation again :( So the vet said that they found crystals in her urine (no sign of infection though) due to likely stress and inflammation of the bladder. So she now has to be on special food, likely for the rest of her life, that is meant for the urinary tract and to help calm anxiety. However the food is expensive as heck! A large bag of the dry food is $52CAD and the wet food, 12 small cans is $28.68 each DX But if it keeps her out of the vet's office then it's worth it :) The vet also recommended me to get a non
