First illustration for a children's fantasy storybook about 2 kids who discover an underground world filled with magical things, which is unfortunately ruled by the bad guys.
This is the scene where the kids find an underground mushroom forest. The mushrooms have a strong bioluminescence, which allows other plants to grow in their light too. Take it as an Avatar/Alice In Wonderland mix if you wish. That's the way the story goes.
The title come from the fact that the kids are heading to a wise tomcat's house to seek his help dealing with the baddies.
