How are some people just so productive in their art!?
I am unsure of what many people go through in their daily lives but personally, I struggle to find the time to be artistic. Like...those who can draw every day and produce multiple pieces within a short period of time.. Do you even have a job or go to school? Where do you find the money to support yourselves? I have two jobs and work 7 days a week (60 hours some weeks) and I haven't had a day off in the past year and a half. I also go to college part-time in the hopes of getting a good job that will pay for art school in the future (which I refuse to go into debt for).
I have to work to go to school and do school to work a better job before I can do art... for work. I am running an endless cycle because as artists we are called to create. When there is no way to do so, we become depressed. When we become depressed we no longer wish to create.
Do you work a job(s) unrelated to art?
Do you go to school?
Do you pay for school out of pocket?
Where do you find the time to draw and how do you support yourself?
If you could quit your job and focus solely on art would you do it?
I want to know! Leave a comment.
