I'm turning 36 on Sunday and I'm really...sad? about it? I'm closer to 40, which feels really weird and scary because I still feel (in my head) like I am in my 20's still. It's embarrassing to admit it feels like my life is coming to a close (I know it's not, this is my anxiety talking). Is this what a mid-life crisis feels like lol I don't want to get older. It's not because I don't want to age because I already feel old in my body, but I feel like there is so much more to life when you hit 21 up until like 35. You can do more things and not be judged for it. The 'world is our oyster'. It's like there's this expectation to be a certain something once you age closer to 40 and I don't feel as if I fit that criteria. I don't feel as if I ever met any of the criteria that life expects at certain ages and time periods in ones life. This is a weird rant (vent?), just curious if anyone has felt like that or if I'm just anxious over nothing lol

My Bio

My name is Emma. I've been drawing and doodling on everything within my reach for as long as I can remember. I live in Sweden and I have a master's degree in biology so the natural world has always been a huge source of inspiration for me. It's colourful, it's beautiful, erratic, serene. It's everything you need.

Drawing helps me feel happy and motivated. I would love to use my art to tell stories, raise awerness about important matters or to simply cheer people up. As artist Aya so delightfully put it: "Art is the loudest silence. Scream quitely."

Other things I enjoy are Monty Python, books, liquorice and kittens with dewdrops in their whiskers.
