The Kings town was unbelievable, fantastic in every way. It was enourmous, Karina was unable to guess, how many fairies had their houses inside. It was beautiful, colorful and the light would just go through, illuminating crystals and jewels in a variety of colors. It was green from all the gardens. It was the brightest side of life with all the fairies and insects and birds. You could only reach it through the air, as it was built in a way beyond Karinas imagination.
Ciudareyi dangled between the walls of a crater, which were rising steeply. From any side the town was supported by gigantic ropes, that were tugged around rocks or anchored in crevices. Ciudareyi not only extend above the crater lake in one level, no, it expanded in any direction like a sphere. Every rope supporting the town was guarded. At the rock as well as within the aura of the city it was fortified with a watch tower. But ‘watch tower’ only describes the function, but not its appearance. At the rocks it were rings or tori around the rope. Within the aura of the city it was like a goblet that surrounded the rope. They reached far down inside the town. This goblets were neatly entangled with filament, which was hardly visible. The net was so tight, that one could only reach the town through the goblets of the watch towers.
The Kings palace was the only exception. It was the vertex to the city and the meshwork, that surrounded all the city, opened up right above it. Birds and insects could fly in and out. A fountain of life cavorted from there. But this entrance was forbidden to fairies. The ring around the aperture crowned by a gallery of watch towers. Between two watch towers there always was a gigantic feather fixed, that could be lowerd to close the crown for the night.
