Romeo and Juliet by holy-zen Romeo and Juliet by holy-zen
The beloved Romeo + Juliet shirt that I designed for my language arts project. I thought the result turned out pretty good and was happy that both Romeo and Juliet resemble the actors who played their character in the 1960's film Rome and Juliet. Although the colors weren't the ones that I originally had in mind for their clothing, it was all I had to work with. Anyway, this is the front of the shirt. As you can see there are hands pulling both Romeo and Juliet-- the hand pulling Juliet would be that of a Capulet and the same goes with Romeo except it's a Montague pulling him back. This symbolizes the fact that they could not be together because their families could not find peace among themselves.

On the back of this shirt is a quote to interpret the picture:
"My only love sprung from my only hate."

Wow, I'm flattered! :D Thank you very much.

I would certainly want to make one for you, but I don't know how all that shipping stuff works? Or mailing? I've never mailed something out of Miami, Florida. I'm guessing there's a price or something, so it'd be nice if you could just pay as much as I have to pay for mailing it. 3 bucks or something? *laughs* I wouldn't charge more than 5, and I honestly liked making the shirt, so it wouldn't trouble me that much. :)

Awww, that rocks, Zen =) They characters look awesome, I really like the way you did Juliet's dress, her hair looks great, too. I like the added touch with the hands pulling them away, the whole picture has a nice sense of peace and love, but once the eye moves to the hands it gives off a feeling of tension; genius :D Great work bud, it rocks :w00t!:

Thank youu!

Yeah, we had to wear the shirts to school and present them to our english class. Everyone agreed that it was a creative idea. ^__^ I had so much fun making the shirts, I think I'll draw on shirts more often, hehe.

Hehe, yeah so did we! I really enjoyed it since it was actually the first time I read the wholeee thing and saw the whole movie. We had to wear the shirt to school and present it, I made three of them and they all turned out pretty successful. ^__^

Thanks for the comment! :D
