Lapsed art student, part time artist and writer, full time spoonie. Lover of tea and the indoors. I'm on Twitter though I mostly Tweet about writing and whatever inane thought just popped into my head.

Bad books again. I'm getting "List index out of bounds" errors and unable to open parameters saved after the fresh install.
Okay, my computer is back in my good books. For now.
I know I say this fairly often but this time I really am going to throw my computer out the window. Apophysis won't load any plugins and I don't know why. I was using it,  then it crashed, I opened it back up again, and bam. No plugins. I restarted. I removed the plugin folder. I replaced the plugin folder. I even reinstalled Apophysis. It just will not load any plugins. I can only assume that it hates me.
Seeing as there's been so much enthusiasm about my piggies, I thought I'd introduce them properly!

We got the trio from the RSPCA after our old pig, Apple, passed away last month at the age of six. Here's Applepig:

She was boss of the house and she knew it!

So, a week ago we adopted these sweet girls, both about a year old:

They were abandoned after their previous owners were evicted from their house. They're a bit nervous, but coming around. Ginny's quite inquisitive, but is VERY twitchy when being held. Molly's a bit more chill.

They were listed on the RSPCA as Clarrie and Fallon, but the lady at the boarding house didn't know which was which, and we weren't too keen on the names, and THEY didn't have any hints to offer, so we called them Ginny (left) and Molly (right). They're rodents but they don't look very Weasley to me...

In addition to these sisters, we found a boar, Meeko, who is about a year and four months, who was looking for a home with one or more sows.

He came from a house with eighty guinea pigs. EIGHTY. He's a great big marshmallow. Easily the most timid of the three, even though he's much bigger than the girls.

He's also a total dumbass. I say that with the utmost affection. He's actually fostered, but we can fully adopt him once they're bonded. He's such a handsome boy.

So we're working on bonding them at the moment, and getting them to warm up to us. On both counts, I'd say things are going pretty well! We put them together yesterday, and er, Meeko got busy, but settled down after a bit. Good thing he's neutered!

When they first came home, they would run at the slightest movement from us (if they emerged from their hiding spots at all), so for the first couple of days it was as if there were no piggies in the house! They're now a lot more confident, and we can usually get near if we don't make any sudden movements. They've even eaten from our hands, and Meeko let me stroke him today!

Hopefully it won't be long before they're fully settled in.

Thanks for the llama :happybounce:

I knew a llama once. At least I thought I knew him. I mean, how well can anyone really know anyone, much less a llama. With their air of mystery and thinly veiled contempt. It’s hard. But I digress.

His name was Kevin. But for reasons I will never understand, he would only ever answer to Albert. Identity issues aside, things started out okay. The usual introductory sniffing and sneezing went well, despite his allergies, but then things started going downhill during the ritual licking phase of the pleasantries. We pushed through. And had it not been for the spitting, we might have even been able to make it work, but alas, after just 3 seconds of bittersweet brotherhood, we finally decided to part ways. It’s kind of sad, when you think about it. Spitting seems like such an innocent thing to fight over, but he was pretty adamant that I should stop and that was just never going to happen. We might have overcome that issue, but Kevin, like all llamas, was very competitive. First came the stench competitions. Then it was belching contests. And lastly, a painstaking count to see which one was hairier. You can clearly see why our relationship was doomed. The poor fellow was a bit of a sore loser.

So he snuck out, taking with him a failed friendship, an obliviously optimistic dread of the future, and my sixth favorite toothbrush. Now that he is gone, I can honestly say, it's for the best. He was too much of a chick magnet anyway and who needs that poultry drama? :shakefist:

Full disclaimer, as Kevin’s official biographer, a position of which he blackmailed me into (don’t ask), I’ve been instructed to inform you about his ongoing series. The journey starts here with The Kevin Chronicles - Chapter 1, and this gallery contains the rest. You should check it out.

*End of cue card*

And don't worry, they're pretty short.

No pressure though, only if you want.
