The Secret of the Animal Assistant (OC Revert TF)
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think there was a person underneath all that fur.”
It was just an innocuous statement of awe from a man who had just witnessed something truly spectacular.
A duo of magicians not only got their white tiger assistant to clamp her massive jaws around their respective heads without piercing their skin but completely follow and participate in their elaborate illusions of teleportation and levitation without once getting disoriented. Of course, the man didn’t believe his statement to actually be true, possibly even morbidly musing how many acts it would take for the tiger to go mad, but he couldn’t deny there was something inherently strange about how that seemingly wild animal had the cognitive abilities of a human. While he wouldn’t say that tigers were stupid, he was sure they’d be spooked or perplexed by what those magicians had pulled during that show, definitely incapable of understanding that none of what had occurred was real magic.
