I asked members whether or not we should accept digital images made with the Holga lens and the response was very clear.

So, we will not accept digital images for the gallery. This policy is not meant to exclude anyone, but to preserve what we feel to be an important part of the Holga experience, which is the analog response of film.

I am happy to say that there are many places on DA to share digital photography, so no one need feel left out. Also, thank you to all members who responded.

Please forgive a very newbie-ish question, but would scanning developed film on a normal computer scanner produce any kind of decent result?
marcus-thorne Featured By Owner Apr 15, 2013
I've been able to scan negatives with a normal flatbed scanner, but the negative must be perfect.

If it has the minimum scratch, it will totally ruin it, because somehow it reflects back the sensor light and distorts the image.

As ~RKHobbs says, if you can find the transparency adaptor for your scanner, it's the way to go.
RKHobbs Featured By Owner Apr 7, 2013
Some scanners have a transparency feature that works well. If your scanner doesn't have a transparency option, then you aren't likely to get a good result.

Thank you for that, I'll see if mine has that feature. :)
