Science Fiction art of the month v.13
Science Fiction art of the month v.13
This is a selection of the most beautiful and unique science fiction pictures that were submitted within the last month. We've taken our personal favourites from each of deviantart's sci-fi categories.
We are trying to find new, undiscovered artists to help them getting more attention. But of course we cannot ignore the art of the already well known artists.
If you want to see your works in this monthly feature, you just need to create pictures that fit the topic.
Please don't be mad if you are not chosen this time.
Please take some time and enjoy these awesome works.
Best regards,
TobiasRoetsch & gucken
Our artist of the month is ApneicMonkey :iconapneicmonkey:.
If you look out carefully you still can find some silent talents here at deviantart. ApneicMonkey is one of them.

Best of Science Fiction Art of the Month
Best of Science Fiction Art of the Month
For about one year now we are selecting the most powerful and unique pictures of dAs science fiction community for our monthly feature.
Nearly 500 pictures have been featured so far and it did not matter if it was a pencil sketch or a high-end painting.
Every month an other artist got the chance of being featured as our artist of the month. This Best Of article presents you all the featured artists and their pictures.
We really thank you for your continuing support and interest in our selections and we hope that all featured pictures got some more attention and feedback.
Enjoy the first year at a glance!
Best regards
TobiasRoetsch & gucken

I have an idea for you... Make a desert planet part of an asteroid belt surrounded by sandy asteroids. And name it.. "Dustia".

Is there a way to make planets in vue? Like how you make yours?

Yeah, sure there is. Works mostly like in 3ds max. The only thing I don't know how to do is the atmosphere, but you can add that in Photoshop postwork. You have all the same maps and create a material from them. Like in 3ds max you need a sphere for land/ocean and another sphere for clouds and there is a way to add the atmosphere on a third sphere I think but you really should ask one of the many Vue users here on DA.

Okay :), thank you very much though... I'm sure I can figure out the atmosphere on my own :) if not then I definitely will :)

np :D Any chance on getting that globe in size 300? Than it would fit perfectly with my desktop settings. ;)

Well, I can't just scale it due to the way rainmeter rotates images; you can resize every image to 300px and edit the skins ImageW and ImageH to 300. It would double the size in the rmskin to include an extra sizeversion though, thats why I don't:)
