Maybe Predator vs predator, or even prey vs predator

many believe that fighting dinosaurs are fossilized (and, therefore, dead at the same time) due to a sandstorm or a mudslide... but... couldn't be simply that the two dinosaurs are mortally wounded mutually (the Protoceratops hard beak with biting the Velociraptor, and the Velociraptor in the chest thrusting his sickle claw)??!??

That seems like a god option. Either that or they had fought for so long they became exhausted, and died of exhaustion plus the large wounds they inflicted to eachother

Do you think Protoceratops played a key role in how Velociraptor got in Jurassic Park (Novel) in the first place?

Erm... can´t think of anything linking Protoceratops to JP raptors... why?

I think Crichton may have found out of the "Fighting Dinosaurs" fossil, which probaly inspired him to add a fast, vicious, lightweight predator such as Velociraptor.

I guess he knew about it, it was in most dinosaur books at the time... but he obviously researched many other small theropods as well.

Yeah, guess so, but the odd part is, is that the novel identifies them as V.mongoliensis, unlike the film.

Well, Deinonychus is larger, scarier and American, guess that's the kind of star they like in Hollywood XD

I think they found a fossil of this, as well, almost in the same position.

I remember this from every dinosaur book I have ever read in my life xD It's such an interesting fossil find and tells a brutal story.
Who knows what happened to these two while they were figting to the death.

Anyway I love this pic :3 Great job!
