Crikey, it's a dinosaur! by HodariNundu Crikey, it's a dinosaur! by HodariNundu

Inspired by the discovery of an ungual phalanx from the smallest Spinosaurus specimen known thus far- a juvenile probably about 1.78 meters long. The claw would've had the same shape and proportion as in an adult Spinosaurus- flattened as part of its aquatic adaptation, so it appears baby Spinosaurus spent much, if not most of their time in the water as well.
Reading about this discovery made me wonder what it would've been like to hold one of these beauties, and one thing took to another... :B

Very neat work; however May I ask how they're debating one single claw it the abudant aquatic adaptation ? Carbon-scans ? :B

They (exaggratedly) write the semi-aquatic 'adaptations' despite all they found is a claw/hook; and now the recent report even doubts the possiblity of spinosaurus entering water as it cannot swim/locomotion decent enough :/
I suspect many people over-exaggrate that

I realize that, but I gave it a sail anyway so that it'd be very evident what kind of dino it was. :B No sail and you'd think it's a baby Baryonyx or something. It's not meant to be a serious drawing obviously.

Sent this to a friend and he sent me this back

" Look wha' we 'ave ere?  A baby Spinosaurus!  Spinos were carnivorous dinosaurs that lived in what now is North Africa, during the upper Albian to upper Turonian stages of the Cretaceousperiod, about 112 to 93.5 million years ago.  She may be just a wee little blighta now but the adults are believed  to 'ave grown ta lengths between twelve an a half and eighteen metres and weighed in at between seven to twenty-one tonnes, nearly as large as or even larger  than Tyrannosaurus, Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus!  Now we'll just plop her back into the water where we found her.  Isn't she glorious?!"
