Ophiucus is the perfect guard for fawns. He is kind and has a strong protective sense. He is loyal to his herd and chose therefore to protect the future generations. This is his dream job and he loves every second of it. He is very patient with fawns and they can do almost everything with or to him. He loves to show them small possessed animals or recreates stories with them. But don't you dare to come too close to his precious fawns. He will protect them with his life so they can live theirs. To do that he trains a lot with other warriors to keep fit.

Appearance: Muscular but cuddly. Ophiucus has a rich dark red and soft fur which is perfect for fawns to snuggle. He looks more like a huge teddy bear than a scary Blackwood. His eyes always have a soft gaze to them. His legs are heavily feathered so you can't really see his hooves. His mane and tail are extremely curly and most of the time have decorations in them. His tail is the perfect spot for a cozy afternoon nap. His mane is also so curly and voluminous that it falls between his ears and on his forehead (NO actual forelock!). Because of that it looks like his rack is split in two and that he had two horns on the forehead and two horns on the back of his head. Ophiucus has also a strong roman nose.

History:
Ophiucus' story started like the most in Blackwood. He was born to a warrior and his mate. A dark red colored son was born to them and they thought he was perfect. He grew up protected and safe, with a lot of training and drill. His father wanted him to follow in his hoof-steps but his mother told him otherwise. Libra thought it would be better to follow the heart. Maybe the warrior life was not for Ophiusus and she was right. More or less.

After his Coming-of-Age ritual Ophiucus told his parents that he knew what he wanted to do. He would protect the herd from harm. His father was so proud but there was more to it than he thought. Because his son was not going to be a warrior like him, he had decided to become a fawnsitter. Libra was proud of her son because she could see that this was the task he would do with all his heart and soul. But Scorpius wasn't too fond of his son's choice. He tried to change Ophiucus' decision but the young stag made up his mind.

It was obvious that Ophiucus had a soft spot for fawns. He could connect with them quickly and they loved him. He would always take care of three to four fawns at once while their mothers took a nap or returned to their everyday jobs.
